What exactly are 'gray market' goods?
I suspect you mean "grey" market. These are goods that are imported without the agreement of the manufacturer. It's common in the case of cars such as Alfa Romeo. The manufacturer chooses not to market their cars in the USA but it's easy to import one from Europe. The goods are not inferior products it's just a marketing decision.|||It means in fact the imported car. The manufacturer has factory or sale representative in the country. But it has decided not to produce or import some models due mainly to the fact that it is not in the main marketing line. Most of these product are luxury, and expensive version. But there might be a company sets up to import such a model to sell in the gray market to specific buyers. Many manufacturers or sale agents will reject the after sale services of such a gray goods. The car companies which have problems with gray goods are for example Benz, BMW, Alfa Romeo, Audi, Lambergini etc.
