is there any homemade remedy to feed 2 weeks old african grey parrot
its urgent.if there is any formula for this ready made in market please tell me and yh please tell me home made remedy for baby african grey|||I know that baby african grays can eat eggs, but basically have to be pulverized into a finely ground mash and mixed with a little water. You need the proper formula ASAP. The crop shouldn't be left empty for hours. I suppose the egg mash would be better than nothing, but not good. Please either go to an after hours vet clinic and get some food, go to a large store like Wal-mart and see if they have anything, or call someone that might have something, even for another type of bird. This could be deadly to this little bird. Its difficult to hand raise a 2 week old baby grey even if you know what youre doing and they are hard to keep alive.|||Pellet foodstuffs should form the foundation of the diet, but should be supplemented with a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables, along with grains and proteins to keep your African Grey Parrot healthy and happy. Of course, a small amount of seed mix can be fed to the African Grey Parrot, but it should be noted that generally although seeds have some nutritional value and a place in the diet of your African Grey Parrot, they are largely fattening and are poorly balanced, so should not form a large part of the diet. It can be quite trickery to persuade African Grey Parrots to try new foodstuffs, so you should try and get your Parrot to try new foods from a young age. It should also be noted that African Grey Parrots can be prone to calcium deficiency so you should get the calcium levels of your parrot checked once a year by a vet. You should not use calcium supplements unless you have sought the advice of your vet. Having said this it can be useful to feed calcium rich foods to your African Grey Parrot, - such foods may include leafy green vegetables such as spinach, kale etc. Whilst ensuring that your parrot get roughly 75% pellets and other grain/proteins and 25% vegetables it is important that you give the parrot the vitamins that it needs. You should consult your local pet shop or foodstuff retailer for more information on brands and quantities.|||Off hand, i cannot think of anything at home, other than the baby bird mix that I keep on hand. I get Exact hand feeding formula on hand all of the time. I breed doves and also do a lot of rescue work. I get this at my local Petco. Most major petstores care this, or another brand of baby formula.
With your African Grey, keep in mind that African Greys require more Calcium that most other parrots.
Best of luckj.|||Yes there is formula on the market several brands the two most popular are Exact and Zupreem..I like the Zupreem it mixes very well..the exact is nice to
