What are the best Vodkas on the market?

According to BTI the top 3 best tasting vodka's are:

1. Grey Goose

2. Iceberg

3. Belvedere

What are your thoughts on these and what are your favorites?|||Grey Goose - overrated

Iceberg - descent

Belvedere - overrated

I personally enjoy Monopolowa, Russian Standard, and Finlandia|||Cold River (potato)

Hangar One

Chopin (potato)

and in any price range, potato vodkas in general (versus grain-based vodkas), like Monopolowa, Luksusowa, Viking Fjord

Grey Goose is the most overrated (and thus overpriced for what it is); it would be such a fun experiment to do a blind tasting with Grey Goose and pretty much any other vodka at or just below that price point, and see just how many people are surprised at how bland Grey Goose really is

Cold River actually has flavor, without being a "flavored vodka"; it is an eye-opening experience to try it, if all you've ever viewed vodka as is something to be devoid of taste and primarily for ~mixing~

edit: Moe, tell us the differences between column and pot stills while you're oversimplifying distillation, tell us how congeners affect flavor and the like. Tell us about heads and tails in distillates.

I'd love to see you taste Popov and Cold River blind and tell everyone they taste the same.

Incidentally, Cold River is only distilled three times. Maybe that's why it keeps its flavor? Hmmm .....|||Grey Goose is the "Gold Standard," but I prefer the brand "Three Olives.

If you're on a budget, consider checking out "Popov" brand vodka. It's very inexpensive, and is formulated and distilled in the Smirnoff factory. Smirnoff and Popov are virtually indistinguishable if not for their respective bottles.|||Did you know all vodkas are basically pure alcohol when they come out of the still? If they distill it 4 times it is about a pure as it can get. Then they add water.

If you spend more than $10 per liter for a bottle you are getting ripped off. It is all the same. Don't believe the branding. Buy the cheap stuff!

I know I'll get a lot of thumbs down, I'm just lookin out for y'all.|||Go to the website I have provided a link to. This page will list a guide to popular Vodka Brands and will even break them down into price categories from cheap to luxury. Check it out; it's a pretty good resource for what you want to find out.--%26gt;%26gt;http://cocktails.about.com/od/spirits/tp鈥?/a>|||Grey Goose definitely deserves number one.

I personally feel like Belvedere should be number though...

Just personal opinion though, I suppose.|||Iceberg and

Smirnoff|||Grey Goose! (goes great with alittle raspberry chambord and strained through ice)
