Recently, i am looking at putting a diesel engine into my 89 Nissan hard body truck. I have seen gray market Nissan diesels advertised but 1650 is just too much to pay (especially on ebay).
What other diesels could i put into my truck? I want one that will be great for pulling a utility trailer and also good at interstate speeds.
Furthermore i am going to work on making biodiesel for it. Also ive heard great things about running a diesel on propane. Anyone have any knowledge or experience on that?|||Start with a much newer chassis with air bags and safety equiptment. 22 year old chassis will be hard to get parts for. In Mexico and Foreign countrys there are Nissan turbocharged diesels vans and trucks but most are not strong enough for trailer towing with a non aerodynamic truck at highway speed.|||If you don't have $1650 then I think your're dreaming. Installing any other diesel and getting it to work is going to cost a lot more than that.
